Autumn Leaves Charm Bracelet

I've been in love with copper this autumn, and copper mixed with purples and browns is such a wonderful combination! This bracelet uses the cunning new TierraCast loop heishi, our TierraCast Autumn Leaves mix, our glass flower beads, Swarovski crystal, and other assorted beads and findings. You'll only need basic stringing and wire wrapping skills to put this bracelet together, and you can review these techniques following the links below:

How to Make:

First - put together the beaded drop sets. As pictured, this bracelet has seven beaded drop sets. There are ten charms in the pewter leaves mix. So - I made three beaded drop sets that had two of the pewter charms each, and one flower drop. The other four sets have one pewter charm, and two flower drops. To keep things nice and symmetrical - I put one of these two-pewter-charm sets in the middle (and I made it with the largest charm, the violet leaf), and the other two two-pewter-charm sets on either end. You don't have to do it this way, of course, but for those of you looking to perfectly dupliate this bracelet - that's how it was laid out. I used both size glass flower beads in both colors to make the flower part of the beaded drop sets. I made four large drops that have a 4mm crystal, an 8mm dark brown flower, and a 10mm amethyst flower. The other three large drops are made with a 4mm crystal, an 8mm amethyst flower, and a 10mm dark brown flower. If you wanted to make them all using the small dark brown flowers, and the large amethyst flowers, it would be lovely that way, too. The only caveat I have is to use to make sure the more colorful flower, the amethyst, is your larger flower.

The Large Floral Drop:

  • 4mm Bicone
  • 8mm x 9mm Glass Flower Bead
  • 10.5mm x 12mm Glass Flower Bead
  • 5mm Small Turkish Spacers
  • 3mm Round

  • Make a largish loop on the headpin, and connect it to the loop-heishi loop. Wire wrap headpin shut.

The Small Floral Drop:
  • 4mm Bicone
  • 8mm x 9mm Glass Flower Bead

  • Make a loop on the headpin, and connect it to the LOOP FROM THE LARGE FLORAL DROP (do not connect it to the loop-heishi loop), and wire wrap the headpin shut.

Connecting the Leaf Charms:
  • Open the small jump rings and put on the charm.
  • Connect the charm to the LOOP FROM THE LARGE FLORAL DROP. (do not connect it to the loop-heishi loop)

Spacing
When you're connecting all the pieces for the beaded drop sets, make sure that the large floral drop is in the middle, and the two accents are on either side of it. This gives your drops a nice, even appearance. Only the large floral drop connects directly to the loop heishi. The other two accents connect to the loop of the large floral drop.

String the Bracelet
  • 3mm round
  • 4mm bicone
  • 5mm small turkish spacer
  • 4mm bicone
  • 3mm round
  • 5mm Loop Heishi - Beaded Drop Set
